Four lines, one roof
CNC Bracket Machining
Stainless-steel and single-crystal sapphire brackets are machined on five-axis CNC centres to ±5 µm dimensional tolerance. Slot width, torque, and angulation are verified on every batch using calibrated go/no-go gauges before optical metrology sign-off.
Thermoforming — Helix Aligners
Medical-grade PETG sheet (0.80 mm, 1.00 mm, 1.20 mm gauges) is thermoformed over 3D-printed models derived directly from patient STL files. The line runs 24 h/day and can produce 400 individual tray sets per day. Each tray is trimmed, polished, and individually bagged with patient ID barcode.
Wire Drawing & Heat Treatment
Nickel-titanium and stainless-steel archwires are drawn from certified alloy stock through tungsten-carbide dies to target cross-section tolerances of ±2 µm. NiTi wires undergo controlled heat-treatment in atmospheric furnaces to achieve target transition temperature ranges (TTR). Force-deflection curves are verified by tensile testing on every production lot.
Adhesives & Auxiliaries
Bonding systems, primers, and auxiliaries are compounded in a climate-controlled ISO Class 8 clean room. Raw materials are sourced from certified suppliers with full material certificates. Batch release requires viscosity, adhesion strength, and cytotoxicity test passes.
Optical metrology & statistical process control
Our quality laboratory operates two Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) and one Keyence IM series optical measurement system. Incoming raw material, in-process checks, and final release inspections all generate digital measurement records stored in our QMS for full traceability.
Statistical process control (SPC) charts run in real-time on the production floor. Out-of-control signals trigger automatic line hold and quality engineering review before release can proceed.
Every shipped batch is traceable from raw material certificate of conformance through production records to the customer invoice. In the event of a field safety corrective action, affected batches can be identified and recalled within two hours.
Swiss standards, Swiss responsibility
- Facility powered by certified Swiss hydroelectric electricity since 2021.
- PETG thermoforming scrap is ground and returned to the raw material supplier for recycling.
- Stainless-steel machining swarf is sold to certified metal recyclers; zero landfill for metallic waste.
- Wastewater from cleaning operations treated on-site before discharge, exceeding cantonal permit requirements.
- Packaging transitioned to FSC-certified cardboard and water-based inks in 2023. PVC blister trays replaced with PET.
